A WEEKDAY TRIP TO BALER
Aside from La Union (Elyu), Baler has become one of my go-to towns in the province for the past few years. My friend, Gen, it’s her first time visiting so when she told me she wanted to explore it, I immediately said yes. We only have 2 days to spare so of course our tour is limited and it rained a couple of times but we did not let that ruin everything and made the best out of the trip. Gen and I rode the Joybus from Genesis terminal in Cubao and left at around 12 am or so.
We decided to go on a weekday partly because the date coincides with Gen’s birthday so yeah and it’s much better to travel on a weekday of course. Fewer the people, the more reason to enjoy the trip.
Here’s how we made the most of out of our weekday trip to Baler
You can also watch the Vlog here:
Costa Pacifica Baler – More about this on a separate post
Charlie Does Cafe – They serve yummy yet affordable vegetarian meals. More info about this on the Vlog.
We rented a tricycle and opted for a half day tour which includes:
1 Diguisit Falls – Not much to see but you can take photos here. You can climb up to see the falls but be careful.
2 Aniao islets – I think you should not skip this one as this is one of the most beautiful spots you can hang out with.
3 Hanging Bridge – Perks of going here on a weekday? We had the bridge all by ourselves and we took looooots of pictures! Ha!
4 Ermita Hill – Not much to see as well but you can get a bird’s eye view of Sabang Beach.
Hungry Surfer – We tried the Garlic Chicken, Grilled Blue Marlin, and Pako Salad (a must-try!)
I hope this simple itinerary will help you on your next trip to Baler!
